Meet Tanitha!

Tanitha Nicholas (she/her/hers) is Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and has been working in the mental health field since 2014.  She started as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor, then continued her education and became a Therapist.  Tanitha studied at the University of North Florida and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health with a focus on Community Health. She decided to continue her education as she felt not only physical health was important, but mental health as well.  As she continued her practice, she discovered that holistic health is important as it includes mind, body, and soul. She went on to obtain her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree at the University of North Florida.

Tanitha jump starts therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She has an infamous self-quote that states, “If the head is on straight the body will follow.” In other words, if one can make up their mind to become what they want or who they want, everything else will eventually start to align if you believe in yourself.

Tanitha has a background in working in infant mental health, group therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, inpatient mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, and fitness training. She enjoys working with the LGBTQ+ community and is an active ally and advocate.

Tanitha was born in Brooklyn New York and moved to Jacksonville, Florida at the age of three and has been growing and glowing there ever since.  She enjoys listening to the sound of the rain and thunderstorms, beach vibes in the late evenings, listening to calming music, and exercising. Tanitha also has a love for different variations of tea, which she uses in her healing practice at times.  Not only will one be able to get an affirming therapist, one can get the tea with Ms. Tee .
