Tiffany W (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Master Social Worker who has proudly served her country during her time in the United States Navy and is eager to continue serving all in her community. TW completed her master’s in social work degree at Fordham University, with a focus on ways to help individuals improve their overall quality of life. Her future goal is to obtain her LCSW and expand her ability to provide quality therapy for couples by obtaining her certification as a sex therapist.
TW strives to help people not only discover their true potential, but also break down the barriers that may be hindering their ability to meet goals by using various therapeutic approaches. TW applies a strengths-based approach to pinpoint how those strengths can be used to improve communication, relationships, and self-esteem. Experienced in providing anger management, she assists individuals with identifying triggers and using their strengths to lower the impact on themselves as well as others. TW also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help restructure thought patterns for those who find difficulty combating unhealthy thoughts.
TW has a background in working with the homeless, older adults as well as teens, who were looking to gain or improve their independence. She aided this population with tools such as completing an application, gaining the confidence to set up their appointments or promoting self-advocacy. As a parent herself, TW is motivated to work with first time parents and assisting parents who are having difficulty communicating with their toddlers or teens.
Although TW was born in Michigan, she was raised in California during her early elementary years. She spent her young adulthood learning about herself and creating a life of her own. Now living in Georgia, TW is working to expand her social network and learn more ways to be of service to her community. Starting her expansion to servicing the community in Georgia, she will be providing assistance to Immigrant populations, Veterans, and elders.
TW loves going to the beach, meeting new people and trying foods from various cultures. She spends her off time working to improve her painting skills and is always looking for more ways to be artistic.
